The Antivirus Feature
This feature provides device protection from all to-date viruses, malware, ransomware, trojans, and spyware. Cyber Privacy Suite’s antivirus utilizes active protection mechanisms to protect your computer from all threats and is set to monitor, block, and alert whenever a threat is detected.
Enabling / turning the Antivirus feature on/off
From the main Status screen, switch the Antivirus Protection toggle to ‘ON’
Quick Scan / Deep Scan / Custom Scan settings
Cyber Privacy Suite features 3 types of optional scans: Quick Scan, Deep Scan and Custom Scan
Quick Scan – will automatically scan the most commonly vulnerable areas of you device.
Deep Scan – will scan you entire(!) device and all folders. Please note that this scan takes a while to finish.
Custom Scan – will prompt you to select the specific files/folders you would like to scan
What is ‘Active Protection’?
This feature will scan every newly downloaded file to make sure no potentially infected file is present on your device and presents a threat between scans.
Scheduling an automated virus scan
To schedule an automated scan, click the icons shown below, and click the ‘Add new’ button to add a new scheduled scan.
Exclusion Lists
The Exclusion lists settings will allow you to manually select files and processes that are to be permanently ignored.
please use this feature cautiously as it will not flag any activity related to the selected file/folder/process.
Quarantine
The Quarantine section will include all found suspected files sandboxed so they cannot harm your device.
You can permanently delete or alternatively restore quarantined files as needed.
Checking for updates
To make sure your threat definitions are always up to date, go to the settings screen, select the Antivirus tab, and schedule your threat definitions update to run every 6 hours.
